I am a political scientist at the Institute for Public Goods and Policies (IPP) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), where I lead CONSENT, a research project funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant on the breakdown of losers' consent in established democracies.
I hold a D.Phil. in Politics from the University of Oxford (Nuffield College). My thesis was awarded the Arthur McDougall Fund Prize from the PSA for the best British thesis in 2012 on Elections, Electoral Systems, and Representation.
My work sits at the intersection of political behavior and comparative political economy, combining observational data and experimental methods. I have published in journals such as International Organization, World Politics, British Journal of Political Science, Political Science Research and Methods, and European Journal of Political Research, among others.
