Welcome to my website!

I received my D.Phil in Politics from the University of Oxford (Nuffield College) in July 2012. My thesis was awarded the Arthur McDougall Fund Prize from the PSA for the best British thesis in 2012 on Elections, Electoral Systems, and Representation..

My research to date has developed at the intersection between comparative political economy and political behavior. In particular, my research trajectory has explored how citizens’ political behavior across different institutional contexts, and how this, in turn, affects government’s strategies. A defining feature of my research is the combination of observational data, geographic analysis, survey experiments, and quasi-experimental methods.

I have published in journals such as International Organization, British Journal of Political Science, European Journal of Political Research, Public Choice, West European Politics, Party Politics, European Union Studies, European Journal of Political Economy, and Electoral Studies, among others.

I have participated in numerous collaborative research projects, funded by various institutions. I have been the Principal Investigator of the project “Democratic Dissatisfaction in Southern Europe,” funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
